We consider preparing your Preschooler for Kindergarten as serious business. Preschoolers are like sponges – they soak up knowledge. Little Miracles Kindergarten Readiness Curriculum follows the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice set forth by the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards developed by the Ohio Department of Education and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Through our programs we teach children ages 3 to 5 the skills they need to learn to read, do math, make progress in science and other areas as well as begin to understand the world and how it works. This helps children become more familiar with books, words, ways to use language, numbers and problem-solving strategies. Social, verbal, cognitive and physical skills are built through activities that engage children. At Little Miracles they learn everything they need to be prepared for kindergarten and beyond; within our comfortable and encouraging environment children deepen knowledge, free from the fear of mistakes and failures. Preschool programs add to the social skills children need to get the most out of school - for instance, being able to pay attention in class and how to interact with peers. Preschool programs also offer an early opportunity to identify and begin addressing special needs. Our program is focused on development and outcomes. Your child will be assessed at least twice a year for academic and developmental progress. |
